Najar included in Honduras U-23 roster

Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Friday 9 March 2012.– Foreign-based Andy Najar, Eddie Hernandez and Anthony Lozano were selected as part of the Honduran under-23 side that will compete in the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying later this month in the United States, the country's soccer federation announced Friday.
Najar, who moved to the United States when he was 13 and has played the past two seasons with D.C. United in Major League Soccer, made his international debut with Honduras' senior side on September 3 against Colombia. He was MLS' rookie of the year in 2010.
Hernandez began his career with Platense before moving to BK Hacken in Sweden, where he is on loan from the Honduran side, while Lozano is with Alcoyana in the Spanish second division after moving from Olimpia on loan to Valencia.
The three will join local-based heroes Rommel Quioto of Vida, Roger Rojas of Olimpia, and Alfredo Mejia and Johnny Leveron of Motagua as the core of the 20-player roster that will try to defend its CONCACAF crown.

The CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament begins March 22 and will run through April 2 in Nashville, Tennessee; Carson, California; and Kansas City, Kansas, to determine the confederation's two berths in the London Games.
